LABYRINTH – Price now reduced
AU$100,000.00 neg.
Jim Brown SEARUNNER 40, 1982

Labyrinth was a well known member of the NZMYC fleet until her departure on an extended International cruise in 1995. She was the boatbuilder’s own personal vessel, built to plan with the best quality materials available, and refinished by the current owners who have owned the vessel for nearly 22 years, and have lived aboard for most of that time and cruised extensively. NZ, Australia, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, E. Africa, Arabian Gulf, SE Asia. For a number of years the yacht was based in the Arabian Gulf.

She is fully equipped and was described by the CAT1 surveyor as the best prepared yacht that he had inspected. She is set up for short handed sailing. A very safe yacht, she performs well, and is easy to sail.

Labyrinth has been maintained in full “offshore” condition, and cruised the Indian Ocean for the second time in 2010, crossing from Dubai UAE, via Maldives & Chagos Archipelago, to Malaysia.

In November 2010 a full refit was commenced on the yacht as the owners intended to keep and sail her on another extended cruise through the north Pacific. All standing rigging has been replaced, together with most running rigging; and an extensive list of equipment has been upgraded, overhauled or replaced. She is ready to embark on an ocean crossing tomorrow..

As a result of an unanticipated change of plans, the owners have now purchased another yacht, and Labyrinth is offered up for sale. She is currently lying in Langkawi, Malaysia.

A full listing, with inventory, and many photographs, is available on www.apolloduck.com – enter advert ID 201436.

Labyrinth also has a less detailed listing on the following link - http://yachthub.com/list/yachts-for-sale/used/sailing-trimaran/searunner-40/92968

The vessel will be particularly attractive to Australian/New Zealand buyers, as she is Australian built and registered (large ship registry), and duty paid and registered in New Zealand. This means that she can remain in either country for unlimited time, and does not need to be imported.
