Commodore Update 12-May
First Club Marine RNZYS Sat Series had a fleet of 10 boats. Gentle conditions, but still important to follow the course as per the SI. Epsom Salts protested the whole fleet except Hyper. They were successful leaving just them and Hyper as the finishers. The Sat courses are the M division courses. All harbour marks are in the RNZYS handbook.
Next race( race day 2) this Saturday afternoon. Harbour course.
Note: Race days Three and Seven are windward/ leewards, held with the Sport boat fleet. Start area out by Northern leading.
RNZYS Boat owners meeting tomorrow at 1800. Have your say.
Great effort by Nitro to get here after some extreme coastal conditions. A brutal trip from New Plymouth and pleased to see them here safely and now getting ready for Fiji. Its that fine looking boat sitting on the Exodus mooring.
Looks like three multihulls now racing to Fiji.
Boat weighing opportunity at the TNZ facility this Saturday at 1000, before the race. Get your boat on the load cell, and find out its weight. Great opportunity and a few boats already lined up to so in the viaduct. Let Jamie know if you are keen on 021 413 229.
RNZYS prizegiving last Saturday saw lots of big trophies out to the M division. The overall Club Champion line and handicap went to Dirty Deeds, so well done to them, it was close . Some very nice hardware all round . It was an excellent night and we had a much bigger turn out this year, so thanks to all that came, and for making some noise.
NZMHYC summer prizegiving next club night May 26 , heaps of prizes.
Any last minute entries for the photograph completion please e mail already got some great shots.
