Last news one for the year
Looks like the wind calming down and Bob McDavitts pick for Jan/Feb is a predominance of warm easterlies.
*Last RNZYS Wednesday night tonight for the year and a social occasion afterwards.
*For those who would like to do more cruising based events please consider the RNZYS Cruising series. They of course welcome multihulls and it a very convivial and relaxed event, finishing ashore with good prizes and on shore hospitality. Katriana and Hyper have been participating and the next one is this Saturday with a start at resolution at 1300.
*Last Sat was perfect conditions for the Gold Cup 70 mile Percy Jones memorial. Very fast times by TeamVodaphone Sailing and Triple 8. This is a great series and if you like to get out of the harbour put this series in your calendar for next year.
*We have arranged a multihull division start on the harbour for the Anniversary Day regatta on 31 Jan, so if you are in town and fancy a race, put in your entry. Inner harbour start 1055. This is always spectacular and a good chance for us all to now be part of the spectacle.
*There will be a cruising event that weekend in Mahurangi as well, so that weekend has something for everyone.
* 4 entries at least looking likely for RNI in Feb. Not too late to enter. Check out the attached photo? Could the 10m class be hotly contested or what. See photos attached
* More details to follow on Bay week, but the feeder race up will be a nice way to get up, and some boats will just do that so a NOR will be out soon. Make sure you get your Opua marina berth booked in the multihull section of you would like to stay there.
Don’t forget to provide e mails addresses of anyone else who would like to be kept updated.
