NZMYC Friday Night 'Not-race' to Mahurangi.
'Not-race' to Mahurangi.
As far as rules go they are pretty loose....
Rule 1.
We dont care what you do between leaving your mooring/berth, you have to finish under sail between Cudlip Point and Sadler Point at 1900hrs on Friday Night.
This should leave plenty of time for everyone to get into good anchoring spot for the night and have our prize giving at a reasonable hour.
There are spot prizes for the Friday Night 'Not-race' sponsored by the NZMYC, and with enough support shown, Squid may even want this to become an official Crew.org event and throw in a few bottles of Mt Gay.
There will be the opportunity for the race boats to go and do their thing on Saturday (if they want to) and on Sunday it is proposed we all sail, or race to Kawau.
We would very much like to include some children’s activities for Saturday, but to do it well we need to know how many there will be. Email or PM your interest to me if you plan on going, include crew numbers, age etc so we can prepare the kids stuff.Cheers Bill

REMINDER If you are not going to Mahurangi but fancy a race on Monday we have a division start race at 1100 in the harbour this Anniversary as part of the regatta. Be part of a tradition that started in 1914. Blast around and show the rest of Auckland where the action is at!
Otherwise Mahurangi is the place to be this weekend. Let Bill Barry and/or Steve Gilmour know so they can get some rum for prizes. Just finish on Friday nearest to 1900 and you could win. Here are details from Bill AS PER CREW.ORG:
These details are also on crew.org. Great looking weekEnd so get the team family friends etc and enjoy a weekend with other multihulls.
Squady race this Wednesday!
Lots of good cat action on the harbour with Prada and TNZ out there all the time. Hoping to see Hooters out again racing with the new owners, and of course Charleston already firing up with the new beams., and everybody looking forward to seeing Sams new trimaran out there soon.
Great week and weekend of sailing ahead, with some settled weather at last.
Looking forward to getting Exodus back in the water now new rig, anytime now!
