Single handed race this weekend and other things....
We have some keen entries for this weekend singlehanded race. Sailing Instructions are attached. We have at least 6 already, but room for more. There will be a post race gathering at Swashbucklers, the singlehanders HQ. If it looks a bit marginal we will postpone, its a race we would like to run in suitable conditions, so keep in touch if you are racing and please send your mobile number. Francis Jouyon happily sailed around the world on a monster trimaran, so have a go! Best part is if you make a bad call , you can only blame yourself. For those around on arrival back, stand by to help the others coming back to their marinas , can be very helpful.
Planning is already underway for the Coastal Classic again so you can already put October 21 in your race calendar. It comes around soon enough and is an annual highlight. Book some dry accommodation in the Bay. We will circulate a summary of the winter racing programme shortly including our own winter series just waiting for the final race programme from RNZYS.
Please also note that Boating NZ take a keen interest in our activities and are now on Facebook . They are keen to develop lots of cool stuff on there and keen to have lots of multihull participation (obviously) so check that out and get involved. They will soon also soon be on the sports portal of Stuff, so watch out for that.
Finally any good shots taken at the BMW. Prize going at our Summer prizegiving for the best one. Send entries by E if you can.
Next Club night April 28.
