RULES

The NZMYC winter Series series will be governed by the racing rules of sailing, the prescriptions of Yachting New Zealand, and this notice of race except as any of these are changed by the sailing instructions


In this notice.

The NZMYC series is designated Category C and is open to all complying Multihulls.

The YNZ safety regulations part 2, category 5 shall apply.In Addition all competing yachts must carry a waterproof grab bag that is accessible either way up which must contain 2x Flares as prescribed in Part 2,Cat 5 and at least 2 of either Cellphone, VHF or EPIRB. Items included in the Grab Bag DO count towards compulsory items listed in Part 2,Cat 5.

Inspections may be carried out at any time and yachts failing any safety inspection will be disqualified from the race in which the inspection occurs and as well will not be eligible for overall series prizes.

To be eligible to compete in this series the skipper/owner shall be a financial member of a YNZ affiliated club .

To be eligible for NZMYC series Trophies the Skipper must be a Current Financial Member of the NZMYC.


Winter Series: Boats to Count Best 7 races (of 10). Entry Fees are NZMYC member $150.00


Individual Race Entry Fee is $20.00 per race for either series (Entrants are not eligible for overall series prizes).


Entry Fees are Set out on Entry Form. Racing starts May 13th and ends September 16th. 10 races

Starts (11.30 am) are off the Westhaven tower and finish of the VCC tower.


The 360- turn penalty shall apply

Protests

All protests must be lodged with the race officer before 6pm the day of the race

The 5min, 4min, 1min, Start system will be used.

Results and Prize giving will be held at the NZMYC on race day.



Fairway marks are/ keep north of Doris rock, sail through center span of Harbour Bridge only,keep North of Browns Island Beacon, out side all permanent moorings. Outside the end piles of wharves.
