Hard Drive is back with a vengeance having posted a handicap win on its first race of the series.

Race Day 3 saw mixed conditions with a cold north easterly blowing of about 12-14 knots at the start which increased and then fell off during the early afternoon. The starts are getting more and more competitive with the tri’s making early gains this time. There was a close battle on a good course on the beat up to Saltworks which had both sides serving up big lifts, and knocks. Need for Speed led for a while but lost heaps of ground in the middle stages of the race when one of the crew had to climb the mast to get a stray kite halyard down after a hoist gone bad and OP blew out a kite. There was close racing between the first 4 boats especially with several lead changes before Dirty Deeds led back up the harbour to take the gun with Epsom Salts a minute after and Attitude 17 seconds after that. Claire Voom is the fleets first female skipper and performing well -why the big new winches Bill?
